aside from oakwood premier, there is another serviced residence building along adb avenue in ortigas which is more budget-friendlier compared to other hotels in the area.

i reserved a room through their website and like oakwood premier, malayan plaza is a few steps away from the podium mall and sm megamall.
the room i stayed in was at the 8th floor, a studio superior room is about 40 square meters. there is a balcony in the room but as you notice the view was the firewall of the next building (lol!). well, it really did not bother me though most of the hotels i have stayed in has a scenic view. broadband internet access is available but with an extra charge.
like most condotels, the kitchen has all the basic necessities you expect it to have. my over-all experience at malayan plaza was quite satisfactory but i think they just have to add more choices on their buffet breakfast. the malayan plaza is also the lowest priced condotel you will find in ortigas.

.. yes dong, access wise and considering the low rate, i would recommend this place. tawid ka lang nasa podium mall ka na. yung discovery suites na katabi nya (which i have not been to yet), i inquired at the reception for the lowest rate and what she gave me was P7000.00!

the condotel in your photos looks nice but i hate it when guests have to pay for wifi.
bakit?! (sa tune hotels ganyan din!) dapat i-wifi ang buong pinas, o sige, kahit buong metro manila lang, haha!

meron pala malayan plaza sa ortigas, i never noticed it before (mukhang you’re in a hotel-hopping mode – an daming mo namang moolah). 🙂
.. yes, it’ managed by the same one who owns bsa suites in makati. napagtripan ko lang yung mga hotels along ortigas, haha.
.. will blog two more! next time i wanna check holiday inn (been there when it was galleria suites.), and crowne plaza (na napakamahal per night dito!) – if the days off budget allows me to. hehe.
it’s 4.3k now as of march 2011. i hope i won’t be disappointed coz i just booked a room.
